THE MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: 

 

  • WORK WITH ESTABLISHED CLIENTS TO DETERMINE THEIR NEEDS WITH RESPECT TO STEBBINS LINE OF WORK.  THIS CAN INCLUDE FORMAL REQUESTS FOR QUOTATIONS FOR REPAIR OR CAPITAL WORK FROM CLIENTS

  • WORK DIRECTLY WITH EXPERIENCED DIVISION PERSONNEL, THE TECHNICAL SERVICE DEPARTMENT, AND THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT TO DETERMINE THE SPECIFICATION WE WILL OFFER FOR A PARTICULAR APPLICATION

  • COORDINATE WITH THE ESTIMATING DEPARTMENT, CONSTRUCTION DIVISION (AS REQUIRED), AND DIVISIONAL PERSONNEL TO DEVELOP A JOB ESTIMATE

  • MAKE JOB SITE/CUSTOMER VISITS TO OBTAIN INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR PRICING WORK, INCLUDING SCHEDULE AND SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED AND TO OBSERVE CLIENT EQUIPMENT TO DETERMINE THE NEED FOR MAINTENANCE

  • WORK WITH DIVISIONAL PERSONNEL TO PREPARE AND ISSUE PROPOSALS

  • CORRESPOND WITH CUSTOMER WITH REGARD TO THE PROPOSAL TO MORE SUITABLY DEFINE THE SCOPE AND PRICE WITH THE GOAL OF OBTAINING A CONTRACT

  • RESPONSIBLE FOR PROJECT EXECUTION UTILIZING CORPORATE SERVICES INCLUDING THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, PURCHASING DEPARTMENT, AND OTHER OPERATIONS GROUPS AS WELL AS THE CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT FOR LARGER JOBS

  • WORK WITH THE SUPERINTENDENT AND/OR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER TO ENSURE THE PROJECT IS GOING WELL AND WITHIN BUDGET, THAT QUALITY IS MAINTAINED AND ALL STEBBINS SAFETY PROCEDURES ARE BEING FOLLOWED

  • DEVELOP A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH AND ACTIVELY SEEK WORK WITH OUR CUSTOMERS

  • OTHER TASKS AS ASSIGNED BY DIVISION MANAGER.

 

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:  MUST BE ABLE TO FOLLOW PRESCRIBED OFFICE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AND OBEY ALL SAFETY RULES.  mAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY OF SENSITIVE AND CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION.  mAINTAIN A BUSINESS-LIKE PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE IN MANNER AND ATTIRE AT ALL TIMES. 

                                                   

EDUCATION needed to perform job DUTIES:  bachelor's degree, or associate's degree with construction experience or AT LEAST 10 YEARS STEBBINS EXPERIENCE.

 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO PERfORM JOB DUTIES:  ABILITY TO TRAVEL IN THE STEBBINS SECO GEOGRAPHICAL AREA AND OTHER AREAS AS ASSIGNED; STRONG MATH BACKGROUND; COMPUTER LITERATE; DRAWING AND BLUE PRINT READING; ACCURACY; ESTIMATING; aBILITY TO MAKE DECISIONS ACCORDING TO POLICIES AND PROCEDURES; ABLE TO MAINTAIN EFFECTIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER EMPloYEES AND CUSTOMERS; ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND AND CARRY OUT INSTRUCTIONS; THE ABILITY TO HANDLE RESPONSIBILITY WITH LIMITED SUPERVISION; STRONG INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION, AND ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS.

 

EXPERIENCE needed to perform job:    construction related experience preferred

 

EQUIPMENT USED:   PERSONAL COMPUTER, FAX, TELEPHONE, COPIER, jOB sITE EQUIPMENT, SAFETY EQUIPMENT, COMPANY VEHICLE.

 

TRAINING PERIOD:   two years on the job training.                 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:  A REGULAR OFFICE ENVIROnMENT AND CONSTRUCTION JOBSITE ENVIROMENT. 

 

LICENSES/CERTIFICATION required:   DRIVER'S LICENSE WITH clean driving record

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:  Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all assigned duties and schedules.

 

JOB DEMANDS:  Standing, walking, sitting, talking, reading, lifting, bending, carrying, climbing, reaching, speaking, seeing, hearing, problem solving, alertness, memory, finger/hand dexterity, working in excess of regular work week, domestic travel (potential of international travel), phone contact, meeting deadlines, interaction with stafF and customers.
