THE MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: 

 

  • DEVELOP ESTIMATES, PROJECT SCHEDULES, AND PROPOSALS FOR CONSTRUCTION / ENGINEERING PROJECTS
  • WORK WITH ESTABLISHED CLIENTS TO DETERMINE THEIR NEEDS WITH RESPECT TO STEBBINS LINE OF WORK.  THIS CAN INCLUDE FORMAL REQUESTS FOR QUOTATIONS FOR REPAIR OR CAPITAL WORK FROM CLIENTS
  • MAKE JOB SITE/CUSTOMER VISITS TO OBTAIN INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR PRICING WORK, INCLUDING SCHEDULE AND SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED AND TO OBSERVE CLIENT EQUIPMENT TO DETERMINE THE NEED FOR MAINTENANCE
  • WORK WITH DIVISIONAL PERSONNEL TO PREPARE AND ISSUE PROPOSALS
  • CORRESPOND WITH CUSTOMER WITH REGARDS TO THE PROPOSAL TO MORE SUITABLY DEFINE THE SCOPE AND PRICE WITH THE GOAL OF OBTAINING A CONTRACT
  • RESPONSIBLE FOR PROJECT EXECUTION UTILIZING CORPORATE SERVICES INCLUDING THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, PURCHASING DEPARTMENT, AND OTHER OPERATIONS GROUPS AS WELL AS THE CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT FOR LARGER JOBS
  • WORK WITH THE SUPERINTENDENT AND/OR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER TO ENSURE THE PROJECT IS GOING WELL AND WITHIN BUDGET, THAT QUALITY IS MAINTAINED, AND ALL STEBBINS SAFETY PROCEDURES ARE BEING FOLLOWED
    • DEVELOP A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH AND ACTIVELY SEEK WORK WITH OUR CUSTOMERS
    • COLD CALL ON POTENTIAL FUTURE CUSTOMERS AND ASSIST WITH COMPANY GROWTH
    • OTHER TASKS AS ASSIGNED BY DIVISION MANAGER.

 

 

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:  MUST BE ABLE TO FOLLOW PRESCRIBED OFFICE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AND OBEY ALL SAFETY RULES.  MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY OF SENSITIVE AND CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION.  MAINTAIN A BUSINESS-LIKE PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE IN MANNER AND ATTIRE AT ALL TIMES. 

                                                   

EDUCATION NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:  BACHELOR'S DEGREE, OR ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE WITH CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE OR AT LEAST 10 YEARS STEBBINS EXPERIENCE.

 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:  BILINGUAL (ENGLISH / FRENCH) IS ESSENTIAL; ABILITY TO TRAVEL THROUGHOUT CANADA (SOME INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL MAY BE REQUIRED); STRONG MATH BACKGROUND; COMPUTER LITERATE; DRAWING AND BLUE PRINT READING; STRONG COMMUNICATION SKILLS; ACCURACY; ESTIMATING; ABILITY TO MAKE DECISIONS ACCORDING TO POLICIES AND PROCEDURES; ABLE TO MAINTAIN EFFECTIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS; ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND AND CARRY OUT INSTRUCTIONS; THE ABILITY TO HANDLE RESPONSIBILITY WITH LIMITED SUPERVISION; STRONG INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION, AND ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS.

 

SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIRED:

-        MICROSOFT OFFICE (MS WORD, EXCEL, & OUTLOOK)

-        MICROSOFT PROJECT

-        ADOBE ACROBAT

 

EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB:    ENGINEERING, SALES, AND CONSTRUCTION RELATED EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

 

EQUIPMENT USED:   PERSONAL COMPUTER, TELEPHONE, COPIER, JOB SITE EQUIPMENT, SAFETY EQUIPMENT, COMPANY VEHICLE.

 

ANTICIPATED TRAINING PERIOD:   ONE TO TWO YEARS                  

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:  A REGULAR OFFICE ENVIRONMENT AND CONSTRUCTION / HEAVY INDUSTRY JOBSITE ENVIRONMENT. TRAVEL IS REQUIRED 30-50% OF TIME

 

LICENSES/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:   DRIVER'S LICENSE WITH CLEAN DRIVING RECORD, PASSPORT, ABILITY TO PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK (REQUIRED FOR CANADIAN MINING SITES)

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:  RESPONSIBLE FOR TIMELY AND ACCURATE COMPLETION OF ALL ASSIGNED DUTIES AND SCHEDULES.
